New Look

You may have noticed a slightly new look to the site, the logo was designed by the internationally known (ok, he might not be yet...but I bet he will be) graphic designer Casey M. Let me know what you think.

Hidden Gems

I'm spending a lot of time going through the 600 pictures I took at Tiffany and Garlands wedding Saturday and its kind of like Christmas. I keep running into pictures that I really like that I didn't remember taking. Here are just a couple.

I like this...

Had an awesome time Saturday this wedding. Tiffany and Garland got married at some family property. They were a great couple and helped create some great pictures. Here are a few of my favorites.

Inspiration

www.playingforchange.com

Always been one of my favorite songs. This video made my day. Fantastic film making, wonderful artists, truly inspirational. The filmmakers made this as part of a campaign to help raise money and awareness of the AIDS epidemic in Africa.

Home

Went out today and took some pictures of our humble little town. Even had the sheriff come by and ask what I was doing....what a rebel I am.

Fun with Photoshop

I am experimenting with adding noise to pictures, lens correction, and adding color to black and white pictures.

The Riverwalk

I liked this picture of the San Antonio Riverwalk and its the first time I have adjusted a picture with photoshop. Even added the little signature at the bottom (thats just a little detail to make myself feel important) There will be many more to come as soon as we get home

Fort Worth Botanical Gardens

I got to really enjoy taking pictures over at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens yesterday. I really wanted to experiment with the different pre-programed settings and the tripod. We had a great time and I think I got some decent pictures. These were all taken in the Japanese Gardens which were fantastic.

So as I start to really get involved in learning about photography and how to shoot certain things I have realized that I really enjoy photographing people. Its very different from nature or landscape scenes because its so unpredictable. This coming from a guy that has had a camera for a week. Anyway, the reason for this post because there is a photographer who I really like. She is Jasmine Star. I find myself actually interested in her wedding and engagement pictures which most of the time I intentionally avoid.

Random Stuff

These are all taken in "A" mode testing different levels of aperture. Not sure if that's the right terminology but I'm trying. Keep in mind nothing has been edited or touched up because I don't know how to use Photoshop yet.
